Over recent decades, both scientific research and lived experience have highlighted the profound impact of how we breathe. Peer-reviewed studies now show that dysfunctional breathing patterns can influence anxiety, mood, sleep quality, chronic tension in the neck and shoulders, dental health, and overall stress levels.

When we learn how to breathe in a way that supports the nervous system, even small, simple techniques can create meaningful change. Breath becomes a practical, everyday tool for emotional regulation, resilience, and wellbeing.

The four-week Introduction to Breathing course offers a clear and supportive starting point. It is designed to help you build healthy breathing habits, understand the connection between breath, body, and mind, and begin creating a calmer, more balanced way of living.

ALTERED STATE BREATHING

In the 60’s Stanislav Grof was at the forefront of research into the therapeutic benefits of LSD in treating his psychiatric patients. When LSD was criminalised he transformed an ancient yogic technique of breathing into what is today known as Holotropic Breathing. This led to the development of many techniques of altered state breathing that are having profound effects on mental wellness and breaking old patterns of behaviour.
