One of my favourite books is a tiny little number called “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, a holocaust survivor who created meaning even in the concentration camps, wrote a book in his head and transcribed it in a week upon his release. Inspiring to say the least.

If he could find meaning and purpose in those circumstances what on earth is wrong with us? Living these comfortable, frictionless lives of ease and, so often, hugely dissatisfied in the midst of it all.

Well, this morning I sat down at my desk and glanced out of the window on a mundane Tuesday morning and I noticed that my agapanthas are in bud. I felt a surge of excitement and anticipation, those beautiful purple balls are about to bloom. A sense of wonder filled me.

I created meaning. Where perhaps there might have been none.

Have you come across Florence Given author of “Women Living Deliciously” – I adore her and she says “Romanticise the F&*k out of your life” and I feel like she’s the modern day Viktor Frankl in that regard. Only, more relatable. She’s not facing massive trauma, or inconceivable conditions. She’s a gorgeous young woman who has chosen to live her life as if it was the most exquisite thing imaginable.

And we all have the potential to live that BIG, BEAUTIFUL life.

Not when we’re facing adversity, when the stars align, but right now. On a random Tuesday morning, hanging your laundry and the light hits just right, WOW, isn’t that magical.

Your life is what you choose it to be and my offering as 2026 draws to a close is allow the magic in, let yourself live as if this was the most incredible life anyone has ever lived.

My invitation to you today is find the magic. Seek it out. Turn the mundane into the magical because the only meaning in your life, is what you give it.

In grace & gratitude
Denise
